Access Alumni commemorate Women’s History Month through reading

Access Alumni commemorate Women's History Month by reading "Half The Sky"

As part of our activities in commemoration of Women’s History Month, we encourage you to read the book “Half The Sky” with young ex-students from the English Access Program in Quetzaltenango, Cobán, and Esquipulas.

Beyond strengthening their reading skills in English, the young people analyzed the work that exposes actual and current stories of mistreatment suffered by women in different countries. This reasoning was the basis of the presentations made to parents of the communities to which the young belong, becoming a voice of the importance of Gender Equality and the prevention of violence against women in the family.

We are committed to educating young people to build stronger societies that know and promote equality as an essential element of Prosperity.
