Access Camp in Huehuetenango

The Access English Microscholarship Coordinator organized a camp for the students of the department of Huehuetenango, focusing mainly on community service through which they perform volunteering and social service actions, to offer attention to the challenges in their community.

The students carry out their service with the Salvation Foundation and the Shelter of Elders Amparo of San José. They also received workshops to visualize their lifestyles, understand the important role they play in their community, and reinforced values on cultural wealth by their traditions and their country.

Identifying the challenges facing their community and getting involved to be part of the solution, helps train service leaders willing to make genuine contributions to the prosperity of their society.
