The U.S. Department of State has no formal warning against U.S. citizens traveling to Guatemala but does encourage those who are interested to enroll in the Smart Traveler Program that allows the State Department to better provide support in case of an emergency.

Individuals wishing to obtain visas for entry into Guatemala should contact the Consular Section of the Embassy of Guatemala.
