Deputy Chief of Mission participated in the closing ceremony of WeAmericas

Deputy Chief of Mission David Hodge participated in the closing event of the 2nd. generation of the WEAmericas Accelerator program in Antigua Guatemala, which promotes the growth potential of Central American entrepreneur companies.

The U.S. State Department invests US $ 2.2 million in WeAmericas through the Office of Western Hemisphere Affairs, benefiting entrepreneurs from Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.

TheDeputy Chief of Mission emphasized that small and medium enterprises in the Northern Triangle can offer employment opportunities that allow young people to stay in their places of origin and contribute to the prosperity of their country without risking their lives on a dangerous and unsuccessful journey.
