Embassy supports “Rights Now!” training for people with disabilities

As part of our commitment to support initiatives that foster social inclusion and promote respect for the rights of all, the U.S. Embassy participated in the Rights Now! training project. This initiative was carried out together with Colectivo Vida Independiente de Guatemala, an NGO that defends and promotes the rights of people with disabilities.

“Rights Now!” works to ensure that there are strengthened communities with respect for the rights of persons with disabilities, provide technical assistance, tools and resources to local leaders, governments and civil society, to strengthen the implementation and enforcement of human rights legislation With disability. This project is led by Mobility International USA (MIUSA) and is made possible through funding from the Department of State’s Office of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.
