Former YLAI fellow organizes conference on the inclusion of people with disabilities in hotels and restaurants

As part of the initiatives to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities, the “Heart of Service” conference was attended by representatives of Guatemala’s hotel and restaurant sector. The workshop was organized by Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative – YLAI alumni Paola Alvarado after seeing similar initiatives in the United States.

This event addressed different topics on the inclusion of the Guatemalan labor sector and the opportunities available to people with disabilities, who represent 10% of the population in Guatemala. We promote initiatives for inclusion and respect for human rights, and we support the prosperity of Guatemalans, with effective public actions.

We thank the participation of CONADI GUATEMALA, COELI, Grupo SCT and Café Consciente for supporting the event.
