Graduation of DISETUR Agents supported by Access ex-grantees

Former students of the Access Microscholarship Program have worked for three years to support the professionalization of National Civil Police officers who are part of DISETUR with English classes to strengthen their service to tourism in Guatemala.

This year, a group of 120 agents from Sololá, Quetzaltenango, Cobán, Esquipulas and the Capital City graduated from the program. The English teaching project for DISETUR officials is supported by the Embassy along with the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, the Ministry of the Interior, and Inguat.

The initiative came from the graduates of English scholarships to contribute to the work of the agents and support as part of the commitment to strengthen the country’s prosperity by promoting advantages in the service to tourism that also contribute to citizen safety .
