This week, we participated in the inauguration of the course of Tourism Guides for alumni of the English Access Microscholarship Program, in collaboration with INGUAT and Intecap.
This proposal consists of offering academic training to young alumni through a cooperation agreement between INGUAT and Intecap with which young people will be able to apply for the accreditation of Local Tourism Guides or General Tourism Guides with preparation for 10 and 12 months respectively. The Unversidad del Valle de Guatemala will collaborate by expanding the knowledge of the English language for students. At the end, they will practice at a local tourism company.
More than 4,000 young people from 20 departments in Guatemala have graduated from Access scholarships and have been professionally incorporated into the education sector and the call center industry. This initiative aims to open the tourist industry as a niche for young people who will have the tools to meet the demands of the sector.
