Launch of the “Pork Festival” in collaboration with USDA

Deputy Chief of Mission David Hodge participated in the launch of the “Pork Festival” held at Restaurante Hacienda Real in collaboration with the Agricultural Section of the Embassy.

Pork meat is one of the most consumed products in the world and its preference is increasing in the Guatemalan market. In 2017, a total of US $ 49.2 million was exported from the United States to Guatemala.

U.S. products guarantee Guatemalan consumers high quality, competitive prices, high nutritional value, and greater variety. We invite Guatemalan families to participate in this festival, which offers exquisite recipes that demonstrate the taste, quality, and versatility of U.S. pork. This event is an example of how commercial relations between Guatemala and the United States benefit the economic growth of both countries.
