Routine consular services, including visa interviews, scheduled for October 10 are canceled

The U.S. Embassy remains open and operational, but has canceled all appointments for American Citizens Services (ACS), including passports, CRBAs, and notarials, as well as immigrant and nonimmigrant visas on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.  

The U.S. citizens who need an urgent appointment can contact AmCitsGuatemala@state.gov and to reschedule a passport or notarial appointments must visit https://gt.usembassy.gov/appointments/.  The ACS unit will contact CRBA appointment holders to reschedule their appointments.

For nonimmigrant visa appointments holders: 

  1. Should reach out to our call center (https://www.ustraveldocs.com/gt/es/contact-us/) to reschedule their appointment if they were unable to attend their interview during the week of October 2, 2023. 
  2. If unable to arrive at the local Cargo Expreso location or found it closed on the interview waiver drop-off appointment, applications may be dropped off any business day until November 30, 2023 by showing the appointment confirmation page.
  3. For in-person nonimmigrant visa appointments scheduled for October 10, a new appointment date will be sent to the email address registered in the ustraveldocs.com profile.

Lastly, holders of immigrant visa appointments will be contacted via email with appointment rescheduling information.
