Ambassador Luis E. Arreaga shared with hundreds of Guatemalans the successful SaborUSA experience, which presented several leading U.S. products to the local market, as part of the close commercial relationship between the U.S. and Guatemala. During the event, the official toured different stands in which he showed the fusion of the talent of prominent Guatemalan chefs with the flavors of the United States.
SaborUSA is an activity organized by U.S. Department of Agriculture that, in addition to offering some of the best American products locally, also promotes the free market and prosperity with the opportunity to open new markets, increase investment, promote competitiveness, create greater volumes of savings and more jobs.
The U.S. is one of the most important business partners for Guatemala with approximately US $ 12.4 billion of annual exchange between both countries. The participation of their different fresh and processed agricultural products contributes to strengthen the free market.
