The delegation of National Security Council Senior Director Juan Gonzalez, Department of State Northern Triangle Special Envoy Ricardo Zuniga, and Department of State Deputy Assistant Secretary Marta Youth were unable to fly to Guatemala today. The cause is airline cancelations of the delegation’s flights due to ash from a volcanic eruption in Guatemala. The trip is postponed until further notice. The Biden-Harris Administration’s focused work on addressing the root causes of irregular migration will continue.
