You don’t have to believe us when we say the illegal journey to the U.S. is dangerous. You only have to listen to the stories of those who have attempted it. They will tell you in their own words how hard and dangerous the trip is. Families are often separated and children are abandoned. Coyotes have beaten, robbed, and /or raped migrants. They extort their families, and they kidnap children. Migrants have died abandoned in the desert, suffocated in trucks, or drowned in the river.
Do not risk your life or the lives of your family! Those who illegally cross the U.S. border are detained and deported. When returned, deportees have nothing – except the debt from money used to pay for the journey. No home. No land. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published the following video of a woman who shares her testimony to warn others not to make the irregular trip.
The video is in Spanish, with English subtitles.
