On February 24, 2021, President Biden announced the rescission of Presidential Proclamation 10014.
While the termination of P.P. 10014 permits the issuance of all categories of immigrant visas, routine visa services at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala remain suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We recognize the challenges the suspension of routine visa services has created, but the safety of our applicants and staff remains our top priority. We ask for your continued patience as we work as quickly as possible under the present extraordinary conditions to resolve our existing backlog of cases. We will return to normal operations as soon as resources permit and it is safe to do so.
If you have further questions about our current operating status and visa processing, please see our website for the latest information on changes in visa services due to COVID-19. For more information on the rescission of P.P. 10014, please visit travel.state.gov.
