Event: Town Hall Meeting and Passport Renewal Services

The U.S. Embassy will hold a Town Hall meeting and will accept passport renewal applications in Quetzaltenango on March 27 and 28.

Please schedule an appointment if you wish to submit an application for a passport renewal.  You may schedule appointments by calling the American Citizen Services unit at 2326-4942.

We will provide services to U.S. Citizens renewing their valid passports or passports that expired less than three years ago.  We encourage all adults renewing their passports to consider re-applying through our new mail-in program.  Please click here for details.

Embassy staff will also be available to answer questions about other services available to U.S. citizens.  Visa-related inquiries should be submitted to support-guatemala@ustraveldocs.com.

Please review carefully the information on the specific requirements and forms on our website: https://gt.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/.  All of our consular services are available by appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City should you be unable to submit an application on March 27 or 28 as well as the new mailing passport renewal service (for adults-DS82).  As a reminder, some passport applicants may be required to submit additional documentation or appear at the U.S. Embassy after their appointments.
