Event: U.S. Passport Fair and Town Hall Meeting-Reminder

The U.S. Embassy will hold a Passport Fair in Quetzaltenango on March 10 and 11, 2020.  Applications will be accepted for adults and children who are renewing their passports.  On March 10, we will also hold a Town Hall meeting focusing on passport application procedures.  The schedule of services is below.

8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Please schedule an appointment if you wish to submit a passport renewal application.  You may schedule appointments by calling the American Citizen Services Unit at 2326-4942.

We encourage all adults renewing their passports to consider applying through our mail-in program.  Please click here for details.

Embassy staff will also be available to answer questions about other services available to U.S. citizens.  A fluent Quiche speaker will be available during the Passport Fair and Town Hall meeting to provide translation and passport application assistance.  Visa-related inquiries should be submitted to support-guatemala@ustraveldocs.com.

Please carefully review the information on specific passport requirements and forms on our website: https://gt.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/.  Should you be unable to apply on March 10 or 11, passport and other services are available by appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City.  Some passport applicants may be required to submit additional documentation or appear at the U.S. Embassy after their appointments in Quetzaltenango.
