Event:   We wish to update U.S. citizens on the status of services offered by the American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit at the U.S. Embassy, in light of recent events in Guatemala:

Emergency Assistance: Embassy services available as needed. Please contact AmcitsGuatemala@state.gov and/or call +502 2326-4000.

Passport and Citizenship Services: The Embassy is accepting appointments for emergency passports on a case-by-case basis.  To schedule an appointment, please click this link.  We encourage all adults renewing their passports to consider applying through our mail-in (courier) program.

Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) applications: The Embassy is accepting appointments for emergency CRBAs on a case-by-case basis. To schedule an appointment, please click this link.

Notarial services: The Embassy is currently accepting notarial services for citizenship, federal benefits purposes, and emergencies only. To schedule an appointment, please click this link.

**Please note: The U.S. Embassy has temporarily suspended all non-emergency appointments and processing for both Non-immigrant and Immigrant visas.  Only appointments for emergency travel (for example, urgent medical care) will be considered. Please visit this link for more information.
