Filing Instructions for I-130 and I-360 Petitions

Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative)

File your petition by mail with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) lockbox facility in Dallas.  For mailing instructions, go to uscis.gov/i-130-addresses.  You can find additional filing information on the Form I-130 web page at uscis.gov/i-130. USCIS may authorize the Department of State to accept a petition filed with a U.S. Embassy or consulate in some limited circumstances. For additional information, contact us at guatemalaiv@state.gov.

In order to be granted expedited processing, do not request local filing. Instead, file with the lockbox facility and include a cover letter requesting expedited processing and explaining your justification.

Form I-360 Petition Filing (Widow(er)s of Deceased U.S. Citizens)

Follow the process and special instructions at uscis.gov/i-360 BEFORE scheduling an appointment.

Request an appointment via guatemalaiv@state.gov with your full name, date of birth, your deceased spouse’s full name and date of birth, and your local phone number.

Pay the $435 FILING FEE at the Embassy’s consular cashier with cash or credit card.  Filing and biometric service fees are final and non-refundable, regardless of any action we take on your application, petition, or request, or if you withdraw your request.
